Manager-Tax & Accounting Advisory
The Role
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting: Oversee preparation of management accounts, monthly/quarterly consolidations, and audited financial statements. Liaise with auditors.
Client Management: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients. Prepare proposals, reports, and presentations. Identify opportunities for additional services.
Team Supervision: Review work from Tax and Accounting Associates. Provide technical guidance and ensure deadlines are met.
Business Development Support: Prepare pitch decks, attend client meetings alongside the Partner, and contribute to thought leadership content.
Profile & Qualifications
CPA (K) — fully qualified
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university
At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a professional services / public accounting / tax advisory firm
Strong knowledge of Kenya tax legislation — Income Tax Act, VAT Act, TPA, TDA
Experience with IFRS and preparation of financial statements
Experience engaging with KRA on audits and compliance matters
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
